In my capacity as head of the Human Resources Department for Hubbell Realty Company, I have worked with Julie Caspar on talent acquisition for over 12 years. Initially, in 2008 Julie acted as a consultant on an analysis to determine whether our current recruiting process took too long, responding to a perception voiced by hiring managers. She assisted in documenting the process and developed a summary that identified total time from creation of an employment vacancy to the start date of the new hire and the costs associated with the fulfillment of each vacancy with the overall goal to reduce recruitment time and costs. Julie suggested minor changes to our process, provided tools to help managers evaluate candidates, and helped me develop an interview strategy with hiring managers. With her help I was able to tighten up our current process and demonstrate that not only was our recruiting timeline efficient and cost effective but was nine days less than what had been reported by The Conference Board that year.

Hubbell Realty Company has grown significantly since 2008, and in 2018 Julie played an integral role in the delivery of our “Taking the Reins,” supervisor training series.
